Couple who
were accused of being cannibals has admitted to killing and eating nothing less
than 30 human beings within a space of 18 years!
35-year-old Dmitry
Bakshaev and his wife Natalia Bakshaeva, 42, have been tagged as part of
‘cannibal family’ in Russia.
Bakshaev
confessed he began killing his victims and eating them in the year 1999 and
according to a report, police found up to eight body parts and a recorded ‘Lessons
for Cannibals’ in their apartment.
The couple
was found to have preserved human flesh in the refrigerator and a cellar. Up to
seven parks of preserved human body were also discovered. Bakshaev even had
some photos of him eating human body parts.
After she
had confessed to their involvement in killing up to 30 persons, the wife was
taken to psychiatrist evaluation where she was confirmed ‘absolutely healthy’
and completely able to account for her actions.
How were
they busted? On September 12, a female’s body parts were found in a cellar at a
location within a military academy. Also found were the victim’s personal
possessions.
At about the
same time, a phone was discovered which had in it a selfie of a man holding
human body parts. Other horrific images that contained different decorations of
severed human body parts were also discovered.
The pictures
were eventually traced to the couple. They are said to have used drugs to get
their victims to sleep before they attack and dismember them.
The husband
works at the same military establishment as his wife who is a nurse and both of
them live in a flat located at military academy. A neighbor said the couple
never welcomed anybody into their apartment.
A criminal
investigation has been opened for them while both husband and wife are held in
detention.
