A former
middle school gym teacher has been arrested for involving in a sex romp with
one of her male students.
40-year-old
Shawnetta Reece reportedly assaulted a 15-year-old boy in Georgia in 2013 while
she worked as a teacher at Union County Middle School.
According to
the news release, the alleged sexual assault took place when the student was
moving up from eighth grade. However, the P.E. teacher no longer works at the
middle school.
The report
had stated, ‘The student was moving from the 8th grade into the 9th grade
during this time.’
Reece was
arrested recently after Union County Sheriff's Office received information
about the alleged sexual encounter.
Following
the reported molestation involving a student under care, the Georgia Bureau of
Investigation was brought in to assist with the investigation.
The former
employee of Union County Middle School was arrested on Monday for child
molestation and sexual assault by a person with supervisory or disciplinary
authority.
‘As a result
of the investigation, Reece has been arrested for child molestation and sexual
assault by persons with supervisory or disciplinary authority,’ the news
release had stated.
Before her
arrest, the 40-year-old lady had been active on social media posting about the track
and field team of the Middle School where she previously worked.
On her Twitter
account, which she has since deleted, she congratulated so many of the students
on recent meets.
According to
officials at Georgia Bureau of Investigation, they would transfer the
investigation to the Enotah Judicial Circuit District Attorney for trial.
