Anthony Joshua vs Vladimir Klitschko: Brits set to stake over £20m

A top bookmaker has revealed that as the IBF champion, bids to add the WBA strap to his collection in what is being deemed to be the biggest scrap in British boxing history, Brits are set to stake a huge £20million on Anthony Joshua's world heavyweight title fight against Vladimir Klitschko.

It has been reported that gamblers all over the nation will try to win some cash on the bout at Wembley Stadium later this evening.

“Big fights like this always attract casual fans and despite no table-throwing and fancy dress antics in the build-up, there’s no doubt this one has caught the imagination of the British public.” Observed a spokesman for Paddy Power.

"We’re expecting over £20m to be staked across the industry – putting it just behind the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight in 2015.” He added.
