Lewis Hamilton unveils Mercedes' 2017 F1 car alongside new teammate Valtteri Bottas

F1 champions Mercedes have taken the wraps off their new car which they hope will take them to a fourth consecutive world championship double.

Lewis Hamilton and his new teammate, Valtteri Bottas, unveiled the new W08 at a windy Silverstone on Thursday.

Hamilton also took the car for a few laps of the track before the unveiling.

Mercedes have won both F1 championships for the past three seasons so there will be high expectations for the Brackley based team's latest creation.

Hamilton, who unveiled his new helmet design on Wednesday, starts the season as favourite to claim the Drivers' Championship as he enters his fifth season with Mercedes.

Bottas meanwhile only joined the team in January on a one-year deal to replace world champion Nico Rosberg who retired just days after claiming the 2016 drivers' title in Abu Dhabi.
