Plateau State Commissioner slumps, dies while jogging with Governor




A third top official in Plateau State governor, Simon Lalong‘s administration died on Wednesday.

The state’s Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Samuel Galadima, slumped while jogging alongside Governor Lalong at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos.


According to the state government’s Director of Press Affairs, Emmanuel Nanle, “the commissioner slumped while jogging and was rushed to the Plateau Specialist Hospital, where he died.”

“Doctors tried to stabilise him but could not. We have lost him,” Nanle added.

This is coming 6 days after Pius Dashe, the Chief Administration Officer, Plateau State Government House, Jos died after a brief illness.

On February 19, 2017, Governor Lalong’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Yusuf Gambo Hawaja died in the car while being taken to the hospital after he collapsed at home.
