Mayweather puts £3.8million supercar up for sale, amidst rumours he lost ‘a lot of cash’

FLOYD MAYWEATHER has put his £3.8million supercar up for sale as rumours continue to swirl that he is low on cash.

The former pound-for-pound king – who is said to have amassed a fortune of more than £500million – is selling his Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita.

The Swedish-made car is one of the rarest in the world with only TWO ever produced.

Floyd bought the supercar in July 2015 for an eye-watering $4.8m (£3.8m) – the mileage, service history and asking price is not known.

Obi Okeke, from DoctorBugatti.com that handles Mayweather’s cars, said: “Floyd’s Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita is one of two cars built in the world, and the only USA Spec Trevita in existence.

“Floyd’s hypercar has 1018 horsepower and is classified as the ‘Bugatti fighter’ with a top speed of over 245 mph.”

The Koenigsegg features a diamond weave carbon fibre finish and is capable of hitting 62mph in just 2.9 seconds.

Mayweather, 40, owns a fleet of luxury cars that includes a Bugatti Veyron, a number of Ferraris and Lamborghinis and a £400,000 Rolls Royce Phantom.

But in recent weeks there have been rumours that the Money Man has a cashflow problem.

Mayweather was left gutted after he failed to sell his “favourite car” – the £1.85m Bugatti Veyron – at auction in January.

British UFC champ Michael Bisping claimed last month that Mayweather was conned out of a large amount of money.

He said: "I was talking to someone in Las Vegas and I heard that Floyd recently got scammed out of a lot of money.

"The number was very, very big. I don’t think Floyd needs the money, but he wants to replace this money that he got swindled out of."

Bisping also believes that the only reason Mayweather is entertaining a return to the ring to meet Conor McGregor is because of the money that will be on offer.

A Mayweather-McGregor bout would likely be the richest fight in history.

"My bet is that the fight will happen," Bisping, who is in talks to fight either Georges St-Pierre or Yoel Romero, added.

"Will it happen in June? I don’t know, that might be a bit too soon.
"Both guys stand to make a s***-tonne of money out of it. I’m all for it to be honest.

"I’m looking forward to seeing it and I’m all for everybody making money, so good for them.

"You have to agree on a purse and then UFC have to agree on a split.

"The UFC are business people as well and WME (new UFC owners), if the pot is big enough, then they’re not going to say no."
