Katie Price
appeared to break the law when she stripped almost naked to do some topless
sunbathing in the Maldives.
The
ex-glamour model, who is currently on holiday with husband Kieran Hayler and
her five children, has been posing in a variety of busty tops and swimwear
since jetting to her tropical paradise.
But she then
went completely nude on her top half to frolick in the sea, wearing nothing but
a pair of skimpy bikini bottoms as she waded through the warm waves of the
Indian Ocean.
Katie has
recently undergone her eighth boob job, boosting her bra size to a whopping
32GG, and was keen to show off the results.
But the
Maldives, made up of more than 200 islands, is an Islamic country and has
strict laws on tourists' behaviour and dress while they're visiting.
Nude or
topless sunbathing is not permitted – even on the relatively laid-back resort
islands – and in some parts of the country, bikinis and revealing clothing that
shows anything below the elbows, knees or shoulders is banned.
Public
displays of affection are also frowned upon in the stricter areas – something
Katie and Kieran might want to bear in mind.
The
government's own website warns travellers not to flout local laws, advising
that "dress is generally informal but you should be sensitive to local
dress standards when visiting non-resort islands"
It goes on:
"Nudism and topless sunbathing are not allowed anywhere, including on
resort islands."
It is not
known whether the law on topless sunbathing can be applied to private islands.
Katie is not thought to be staying on a privately owned island.
Mirror Celeb
has contacted Katie's rep for comment.
It comes as
Katie launched her own government petition to create a register of online
trolls who target people with cruel messages.
The
petition, which has over 65,000 signatures, calls on Parliament to "make
online abuse a specific criminal offence" in the wake of a spree of
disturbing messages aimed at Katie's son Harvey.
Harvey, 14,
has been mocked online via Twitter and Instagram, with Katie sharing just some
of the many memes she'd been sent by trolls.
"People
that have time for this should be banned from social media. Let's stop this
happening," she captioned one particularly disturbing image making fun of
Harvey's disabilities.
"THIS
MAKES ME SO ANGRY! Horrible tweets and online bullying makes us more determined
to fight for this," she added.
