Madagascar’s
Ahmad has emerged the new president of Confederation of African Football, CAF.
The
incumbent, Issa Hayatou, was defeated by Ahmad by 34 to 20 votes at the elections
which currently holds in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
In what
resembles the sit-tight attitude of most African leaders, Hayatou has been in
charge at CAF for 29 years and was seeking an eight term.
This
development appears to be a real CHANGE.
