Hector
Bellerin says he is "recovering well" after being knocked out by
Marcos Alonso during Arsenal's 3-1 defeat at Chelsea on Saturday.
Alonso
headed in the opening goal but not before crashing into Bellerin with his
elbow, knocking him to the floor.
Bellerin
lost consciousness and was substituted immediately afterwards but reassured
fans he would be back playing again soon.
"Thank
you for all the messages," said Bellerin. "I'm recovering well at
home and will soon be back on the pitch to help the team fight back."
Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger, meanwhile, was furious referee Martin Atkinson did not
blow for a foul when the incident took place.
"It was
a foul. If you look at a number of games recently we can feel sorry,"
Wenger, who watched the game from the stands, told Sky Sports after match.
"It was
100 per cent a foul, it was even dangerous play. That doesn't take anything
away from the performance of Chelsea."
He added:
"We had a strong start but didn't take the opportunities and after half
time the second goal was the killer for us.
"We
were really naive and not clinical in our defending. Then Chelsea looked the
better side. We took risks and they were well organised and played well on the
counter attack and looked powerful.
"We
lost ball the many times. In situations we lacked maturity and experience.
Individually some of our players were not at their best today."
