Women all
over the world are unique beings. They seem complex mainly because they are a
little bit differently wired from men. But there are certain characteristics
that both men and women share in common.
Men and
women desire to be loved and appreciated. Likewise, both men and women desire
to be respected and indeed all human beings deserve to be respected. While men
many times conceal their emotions even when they are shown love, women are more
expressive when they receive a loving attention.
Women
generally love to be shown attention and care. They love it more when the men
not only buy those gifts items but when they also speak those loving words to
their ears. On the other hand, women don’t like it when the men are being too
critical of them.
One common
expression that men have used to deride women when they want to offend them is
calling them ‘whore’ ‘hoe’ or similar words and women all over the world abhor
such derogatory words.
Probably
because some men have learnt that such expressions hurt women so bad, they are
quick to use them at any slightest provocation or when they simply want to hate
on the ladies.
Nevertheless,
a Nigerian born actress, who goes by the name Anita Joseph, has come out with a
suggestion on how to handle this sexist menace. The actress, who has been
vacating in the US, wrote on her social media page:
“‘Girls, ladies’
Listen…
When a man
calls you a whore…
Call his
mother a whore too... It hurts them so bad. You will see how they’ll react… They go ballistic!! So you
see how bad it hurts? It’s not okay to call another woman ‘Whore’.
That girl or
Lady you see is someone’s mother too.”
