A married
father with six children was recently sentenced for the offense of bestiality in
Johannesburg South Africa. Fanroi Mochachi was arrested after he was caught
performing a sex act on a puppy belonging to a 10-year old neighbor.
The ten-year-old
boy who owned the mutt and his uncle heard cries coming from the eight-month-old
dog at a garden close by and decided to go and find out. They were shocked to
find the accused having sex with the animal and alerted authorities.
The 45-year-old
offender from South Africa told officers that he was on his way to a commonly
shared toilet when he saw two puppies mating. He said his sexual feelings was
aroused which made him to scare off the male partner and decided to help
himself with the female dog.
A prosecutor
described the man’s action as disgusting, serious and barbaric. The prosecutor
further expressed disgust over the fact that the man had been married and also
has kids. The prosecutor said the offender, who was supposed to be a role
model, ought to have been having sex with his wife and not an animal.
Meanwhile,
some rights organizations have faulted the sentencing claiming that the punishment
given to the man was too light and have called for a tougher sentence. The
man’s offense has been compared to the abuse of little children who are
completely defenseless in the face of such molestation.
I also think
that a suspended sentence of 5-year jail term seems too light for hurting such
a harmless and defenseless animal so bad. But that was my thought anyways. What
